Teething & Teeth Development Guidance
Teething & Teeth Development Guidance
Most babies begin teething between 4 and 7 months, although every child develops at their own pace. Typically, the lower front teeth appear first, followed by the upper front teeth.
A general teething timeline includes:
- 6–12 months: Lower and upper front teeth
- 9–16 months: Side front teeth
- 13–19 months: First molars
- 16–23 months: Canines
- 23–33 months: Second molars
By around age three, most children have all 20 primary (baby) teeth.
At Swan Street Dental, we’re here to support you through every stage. Our caring team provides gentle guidance and practical advice to help you recognise teething signs, ease discomfort, and care for your child’s growing smile.
