Dr Kiran Nayak brings extensive international experience to dentistry, having trained and worked across multiple countries. He completed his dental degree at Bangalore University, India in 1984, followed by a Master’s degree in Material Science and Prosthodontics at New York University in 1987. His career has included senior leadership roles, including serving as Deputy Director of Dental Services with the Ministry of Health in Zimbabwe. During his time in Zimbabwe, Dr Nayak completed a Certificate in Cosmetic Dentistry at the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1993. He later moved to New Zealand, where he undertook postgraduate studies in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Otago, before relocating to Australia in 2001. Dr Nayak has developed extensive expertise in endodontics, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry and remains actively involved in teaching undergraduate dental students at the University of Melbourne, alongside maintaining affiliations with several professional dental societies. Dr Nayak is known for his calm, reassuring approach and his ability to put patients at ease. He takes the time to explain treatments clearly, ensuring patients feel informed and comfortable throughout their care. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, sport, and travel.
