Dental X-rays (radiographs) allow us to see areas of your mouth that aren’t visible during a routine examination, such as tooth roots, bone levels, and surrounding tissues. They are an important tool for detecting problems early.
Depending on your needs, we may use different types of X-rays, including:

• Bitewing X-rays – Detect decay between back teeth.
• Periapical X-rays – Show detailed images of individual teeth from crown to root.
• Panoramic X-rays – Provide a full view of the jaws, sinuses, wisdom teeth, and surrounding structures.
• Occlusal X-rays – Used to assess tooth development or identify abnormalities, particularly in children.
